OH, SPAIN!

South Florida to Southern Spain

I have had the wonderful opportunity to stay in the beautiful country of Spain. However, I didn't head to the popular Barcelona, or city of Madrid, I decided to visit the Costa Del Sol-Andalucia region. Heading to Marbella felt like home, very familiar. Living in Florida, it gave me that Miami, "South Beach" vibe, with a mix of Fort Lauderdale blended in there as well. So, I went from South Florida to Southern Spain.

Off The Beaten Track

My choices in life, and even my travel style seems "unconventional" to others. But, it is simply about the journey. I like to do what feels natural to me, not what others consider "normal". My travel style matches my personality; Bold and adventurous. I select places that seem interesting to me and pushes me outside of my comfort zone. Traveling forces me to grow in ways that I have never imagined. Not always having an exact destination or detailed itinerary can seem daunting at times, but also very liberating. When I told people I was headed to Spain, instantly I was met with "Barcelona" or "Madrid"? But, when I mentioned Marbella, there were some confused looks, as well as genuine curiosity. The bottom line, your journey is uniquely your own, wherever it leads you.

Broadening Your Horizons

There is no one road that takes you to where you need to be or want to go. I also ventured to other parts of Spain; Cabopino, Cadiz, Estepona, Fuengirola, Malaga, Mijas, Tarifa and Torremolinos. Malaga was fun, too! I stayed in this vibrant city. From street performers, art shows to museums and jazz clubs, I had a blast. Tarifa was a bit more laid back, but it is close to Morocco. I was so excited being that close to Africa and could see it right in front of me. So picturesque and beautiful. Cabopino is a marina with great little shops and restaurants and I enjoyed a gorgeous sunset.

Spain is a beautiful country. I will be back soon....
